I'm in the process of ordering this Bean. I ordered The Bean last year and think I killed it from using it so much. It's GREAT...I like the look of this new Bean with the side handles. I'm in my 70's and have had many back and hip surgeries so this is very supportive for me. Plus my doctor thinks it good for me too. The other plus is I live in a small apartment and this stores away very nicely. No bulky machinery. |

I am an Occupational Therapist. Recently I bought a Bean for myself and I liked it. I brought it into our school for children with disabilities. We tried it out on one student with Cerebral Palsy and it worked really well. It provided the stability we needed with the movement needed to do stretching and strengthening exercises, while also giving her sensory input through the rocking motion. |

I’ve had The Bean since June 2007 and I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy using it and how much it has helped me with my back problem. I didn’t get The Bean to have rock hard abs and I don’t even pay attention to that part of the workout. I did get it to help strengthen my back and neck and give me more flexibility.
First, let me tell you that I have a lower back fusion since 1968; over time I have developed bone spurs and arthritis all the way up my back and neck. I wanted to say that if I can use The Bean with comfort, any one could. I took the exercise guide to my chiropractor and he went through it and marked what he wanted me to start with. He was impressed by The Bean and encouraged me to try it only up to the point of discomfort. When I first started using it I could hardly even do the sit ups or the even bend over far enough to do the seated lower back stretch, now I can roll right into the sit ups and actually bend all the way down to my shins. I’ve been limited on what kind of exercises I could do over the years with out causing more pain, I find The Bean to be very helpful in helping me in my movements. I feel wonderful and am able to bend and move around much more comfortable. The last thing I wanted to say is all this is helping me tremendously and I am going to be 71 in November. |

Hi! I bought The Bean recently about a year ago. I'm diabetic and this Bean has helped me a lot and it lowers my blood pressure and my sugar is down, too! I really love that Bean - it helps a lot! I have to keep working out on it as it has improved my health and my doctor was very happy that it has been working. (Smile) |

I have purchased various exercise equipments, also tapes for workouts. The Bean far outweighs all I have used...definitely outshines the AB lounger. I am 70 years young, and being supported so well and off the floor is so great. Love it and I will pass the good word. |

I had a 2 level lumbar fusion over 3 months ago. I got my Bean about 2 weeks ago and have started using it working on stretching and doing the exercises in the book that came with it. I had back problems for 6 years and had a horrible time doing any kind of exercises especially crunches, etc because lying on the floor was incredibly painful. Now that I have The Bean I can get up and down to floor level much easier do the exercises. I am an elementary PE teacher and would love to possibly get the Bean for my classes. I have students every day that say their back hurts from having to lie on the gym floor and this would help with that. |

My wife is a recovering stroke patient and has limitations in range of motion. She is 48 years old and defies medical explanation on the progress she has made. Her multiple strokes occurred while she was having heart surgery. We had got an exercise ball for her to try and do some rehabilitative exercises but it was difficult for her to maintain her balance and ultimately she quit trying to work with it. We ordered your product and it arrived yesterday.
She is able to use it herself without assistance and is once again motivated. From the bottom of my heart I just want to say thank you and May God Bless. |

I have started using The Bean with patients a few months ago and have found it to a very useful tool in supporting the patient in a neutral spine while facilitating a transversus abdominus contraction. Patients with disc bulges/herniations found The Bean very supportive and allowed them to activate their abdominals without pain and minimal activation of the iliopsoas. With the patient prone, the back was supported in neutral which allowed for a pain-free hip extension and solid multifidus contraction with minimal cuing. I have also used it to challenge high level athletes with procioceptive exercises such as single leg stance, squats, rocks, etc. I have incorporated The Bean into my speed/agility clinics, which has allowed me to offer creative new challenges that the athletes love. |

I just love working out on the Bean. It's great for anyone having back problems. I had back surgery almost a year and a half ago plus I have some degenerative arthritis in my lower spine but doing the crunches on the Bean doesn't bother me a bit. In fact, my back feels great. I think doing all the crunches has strengthened my back muscles. If I do crunches on the floor, I can feel the strain. I also like how you can use the Bean to do chest press and other exercises for the whole body. It's just a great piece of equipment to use for a whole body workout. |

Fantastic for my problematic lower back! I love working out and keeping fit, but have had trouble doing so in the past because of my lower back problems. In fact, I have had 3 surgical procedures to try & improve my back problems, but the only thing that helped was to avoid all exercise. The Bean allows me to work out hard & focus on specific muscle groups (especially my abs) without putting any strain on my lower back. Now, I can work on getting a six-pack without worrying about injuring myself! |

I am writing to you regarding the use of "The Bean" with my neurologically involved patients. I am a neuro Physical Therapist here in Las Vegas, Nevada. I stumbled on The Bean late one night on a commercial. (I am also a Fitness Trainer certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine). Anyway, when I saw the commercial on TV I thought what a great product not only for Core stability training, but a great device for stretching and strengthening my patients as well.
Much to my surprise, using The Bean with my spinal cord and brain injured patients has been a great benefit. Most of my patients are in wheelchairs and have to deal with tight hip flexors and associated low back pain. By rocking them in supine on the bean, stretching the hip flexors, and essentially deactivating them by "over stretching", then placing them prone for back extension activation, I have been able to reduce LBP significantly (my patients rate this reduction at 50-75%). I have also seen a change in their upright posture during sitting as the spine has been lengthened. Thank you for contributing this valuable tool to my practice! |

As a pediatric therapist working in sensory integration, the Bean provides greater continuous contact on the body when providing proprioceptive input for improving body awareness. The Bean’s lower profile and its unique stability still provides mobility challenges for trunk control, core strength, and upper body strengthening, but is separated from other mobile surfaces, like balls, because of its unique handling and added control given by its shape. These features make the Bean especially appealing when working with children with vestibular and gravitational insecurities who tend to be intimidated by surfaces that have the potential to have more random movement patterns. The Bean provides greater control and safety for both the child and the therapist facilitating challenging movement postures while providing input that helps the child feel “grounded” and therefore more comfortable off the floor. With its wide base and oblong length, the Bean can provide added support for children working in flexion and extension who may not be successful on other mobile surfaces. It is a great way to grade mobile surface exploration and is like having a second pair of hands in the places you need them. The Bean has the potential for opening up greater independence for sensory feedback for the sensory exploring child. |

I injured my back almost twenty years ago as a teenager and have struggled with it ever since. About 6 months ago, I reinjured it, but this time, it just didn't seem to ever get better. An MRI revealed a herniated disk, but the doctor felt that surgery was not a good first option - I am active and relatively fit. He suggested that I try to put extra effort into strengthening the surrounding muscles and working on my overall flexibility to aid in healing and prevent reinjury. Well, exercising is great when you already are healthy, but working out with such a painful condition wasn't working for me! I decided to try the Bean, because it advertised itself as being useful for back strengthening.
I started out using it solely for stretching. It was the only way I could stretch without feeling like I was doing further damage. My back was well supported when I used the bean, so I could relax and concentrate on working out the spasms I was suffering with. I felt better almost immediately. I have used it now for a couple of months, and I use it in combination with yoga. On days when my back feels weak or extra sore, I just use the bean to stretch the muscles in my back and legs. It works much better than heat or pain medications, and I know it is a lot healthier in the long run. I understand that I will need to continue to be diligent with my stretching and strengthening in order to prevent further problems, and then bean has been the only thing that I feel completely comfortable using regularly. I use it every morning, and I start my day virtually pain-free and energized. I am sure it could be useful for general toning and weight loss, but for me, it has improved the quality of my life more than I could ever express in words! Thank you! |

A friend told me about the Bean and I ordered it. My son exercises every night so I thought he would use it, too. Anyway, I started to cancel the order thinking why get another exercise thing when I have others and use them occasionally. I almost cancelled when my son asked me if it was coming so I didn't cancel and am I glad I didn't cancel. We both use it every night. I plop down in front of the TV and actually ENJOY exercising. I have told all kinds of people about it. |

We actually bought our Bean for toning rather than weight loss. We have both retired this last year and love to golf. The Bean afforded us a way to stay toned especially on those cold days when we did not want to venture outside. We have referred several people to The Bean. It is great. Thanks! |
